Dr Hieu Thanh Pham (Hieu)

Lecturer, Project Manager, Faculty of Basic Science, Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF), Vietnam

Hieu has worked as a lecturer and researcher of Mathematics at TUAF for 12 years teaching Short Calculus and Statistics in Agriculture for the 1st-year and the 2nd-year students. She is experienced in integrating gender equality for students of agriculture and forestry disciplines in her classrooms.

Hieu has a genuine interest in gender equity for women and ethnic minorities and is passionate about finding innovative ways to integrate gender equality content into her teaching. She aims to inspire and develop the awareness of each individual, especially the women themselves in their role in promoting gender equality in agricultural research.

Through as a mentor in volunteer clubs for ethnic minority students, Hieu enthusiastically encourages and supports students to improve their English and soft skills for their future jobs and professional development.

As well as being a mentor in the Meryl Williams Fellowship program, Hieu has recently been working as a mentor nominated by La Trobe University, Australia for my colleagues at TUAF on active and inclusive teaching methodology.
